I have not been feeling very well the last couple of months weeks days. My symptoms are headache, dizziness, nausea, and shortness of breath. Please fax me a prescription for something that will make me feel better.

It's difficult to believe that Andrew and Abigail will turn two in a few short months. Their behavior is a testament to how very close they are to being in their terrible twos, but it doesn't feel as though two years have passed since they were born.

To those that haven't heard, I am a grandfather again. Daniel Richard Kane was born a little after midnight. I'm sure this will come as no surprise, but he is absolutely perfect. Pictures will come later, I'm sure. For now, I'm going to allow myself to indulge in a nap. All comments about me being an old man will need to be redirected to the wife I intend to ravish before hand. (I'm talking to you Thomas and Tony.)

[private to Mari]

Will you be able to join me while I nap or is it too much to hope that Annie and the twins will all go down this early in the day?

It goes without saying, of course, but Garrett has received acceptance letters from a number of universities. I believe he is leaning toward Princeton, though. Saying that I am proud of my youngest son would be a gross understatement.

Though I am beyond happy, I will miss having breakfast with him every morning. My day will not feel complete without it.

In case you haven't heard, David will be getting married at some point in the near future. Maible will make a wonderful addition to the Pitt family. I will be welcoming her with open arms.

[Maible]

If you need anything, let me know. I am at your complete disposal.

This goes without saying, of course, but my granddaughter is absolutely perfect. Luckily, I managed to spend a little time with her before I was forced to return to Chicago. Apparently, Franklin Mutual does not run itself.

Jacob Godwin has divorced his wife. You know, the one he proposed to in October of 2008. I'm proud to report that he made this one sign a prenup. She will get a nice settlement, but she will not be walking away with half of his fortune. It seems his ex-wife taught him a valuable lesson. Have no fear, though, he has proposed to the woman he was having an affair with. They plan to marry this June. Unfortunately, that means more work for me. The man acts as if he can't write a check unless I am holding his hand.

This will come as a shock, but I've considered retiring. I don't want to wait until I'm too old to enjoy it, after all. If I decide to do this, I will need to hire someone to take my place as manager of this branch. It's a shame I cannot clone Nathaniel Warner. I stopped in to check on him while I was in New York. He is doing an excellent job.

After reading this, I feel justified in the requests I make when I stay at a hotel. Brand new bedding doesn't begin to compare to the requests listed in this article. I've never made the concierge carpet the beach so that I could watch a movie on the beach without coming in contact with any sand. I've never made the concierge drive to a farm to milk a cow so that I could have raw milk. This just proves my theory that money can buy just about anything… you just have to know where to shop.

In other news, the twins are quite a handful. I haven't slept through the night since they were born. It's a good thing they're adorable. Otherwise, I might hold a grudge.

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. I suppose I should plan something romantic for my wife. It's a shame the twins are so young. If they weren't, I could sweep her to some secluded island for the week. I will have to find an acceptable alternative right here in Chicago.

Two days ago, Mari and I welcomed Andrew Thomas and Abigail Lynn into the world.

Abigail is ten minutes older than her brother. At 5 pounds 11 ounces and 19 inches long, though, he was larger than his sister who was 18 inches long and weighed 5 pounds 5 ounces.

It goes without saying, of course, but they are absolutely perfect.

If all goes according to plan, they will release us tomorrow. Annie is most anxious to play with Andrew and Abigail. I've tried to explain that they will not be able to play for some time, but she won't listen to me.

I am not looking forward to the next six weeks. I became incredibly ill after Annie was born. This does not bode well for me. Luckily, it does not take twice as long to heal after delivering twins. Otherwise, I would be hospitalized.

A billionaire's joke is always funny.

Mari and I had Chinese food for dinner. This was my fortune. I have to say, I agree wholeheartedly.

I'm fairly certain we have told everyone on the planet, but it wont hurt to repeat it. My wife is pregnant with both a boy and a girl.

A nice note to end my procreation on, I think. This will be my last, after all. I have a vasectomy scheduled for next week. As much as I love knocking my wife up, I'm getting too old for this. As it is, I will be nearly seventy years old when our youngest children graduate from high school. That is ridiculous. As my eldest daughter pointed out, our children will be younger than some of our grandchildren.

Bisou is going to be displeased with me. She is quite spoiled, and she hates sharing me with children. She doesn't hate the children, mind you. She absolutely adores Annie. Tiny babies are not her favorite, though. I think she finds them too needy. She will get over it, though. She always does. If she can forgive me for marrying Mari, she can forgive me for anything.

Wine.

As I sat down to commemorate this amazing vacation, I realized that my glass is empty. That will not do.

Un momento.

There, that's much better.

Venice is lovely. I already knew this, but my youngest son has exceptional taste in vacation spots. I believe we have all been having an amazing time. At the very least, I know that Thomas and I have been having an amazing time. We have consumed more wine than... words fail me. I would tell you how much we've spent on wine during the last week, but some people pay that much for a new car. My wife tells me it's not nice to gloat.

Everyone is having a great time, sì? I certainly hope so.

It seems my glass is empty, again. What a shame. I must be off. Until then, arrivederci.
